Bailey Scores Career First While Perrin Doubles Up at Brockville

After being let down by Mother Nature yet again in 2017 last week, the Brockville Ontario Speedway had perfect weather for karting action this past Wednesday night and the drivers were ready for battle.

In Box Stock First Year Rhylan Poole and Max McBride were the fastest early on but Malcome Banks was on the charge in search of his first win in nearly 2 months. On a restart with 2 to go Banks took over the lead and marched to his 3rd win of the year with Max McBride crossing 2nd while Rhylan Poole came home 3rd.

In Box Stock 2nd year Keegan Elliott finally got his year on track after some early season struggles. Elliott took the lead at the drop of the green and never looked back scoring his first win of the year with Lachlan Anderson and Declan Slinger completing the podium.

Max Petro was the story of the night in Rookie 1 as his night did not get off to a very good start. After flipping in hot laps Petro won his heat then proceeded to take the lead on lap 7. From there Grayson Reddick was on the charge from 2nd but Petro would prove to be too strong claiming the big win over Reddick while Dylan Moore came home 3rd.

In Rookie 2 Kyle Stewart had everyone chasing him but the driver who put on the show was Kalen Draper. After coming from last not once but twice, he made his way to 2nd. Over the final 4 laps Kyle Stewart flexed his muscle and was not to be denied as he ran a flawless race, and held off Draper for his first win of the year over Kalen Draper and Brayden Comeau who came from 8th to finish 3rd.

The Jr Restricted had a wild event as up front Tyler Stewart and Trent Wallace were looking to get back to victory lane while Zack Renaud was on the move looking for yet another win. Wallace took over on lap 7 but Renaud would charge by on lap 12 as he took over the lead, and would go unchallenged to claim his 5th feature of the year over Wallace while Jayden Comeau crossed in 3rd.

The Clone class was the Jordan Wood show as he took the lead at the drop of the green and despite 2 cautions would charge on to the big win. Theo Mitchell came home 2nd with Blayden Arquette crossing 3rd.

Stock Light saw only 1 caution slow the field but once the green flew Xavier Perrin was in complete control. The winner from 2 weeks ago would rocket away from a quality field in the 15 lap affair. At the finish Perrin would claim his 2nd straight win by a straight away over Chris Pryor and Evan Reynolds.

In an eventful 15 lap Stock Heavy feature Mark Bailey would take the lead early on but behind him it was every driver for themselves as points leader Randy Revelle was able to clear the excitement and take over 2nd. In the closing laps Mark Bailey was able to stay consistent and would hold off a hard charging Randy Revelle to claim his first ever karting win. Revelle settled for 2nd while Brian Clark charged from the back to finish 3rd.

Only 2 weeks remain in the battle or the points on the kart track, next week all divisions will be ready for action with racing starting at 7pm.
