Dirt Demons Make Special Appearance at B.O.S. Kart Track and Provide Great Action With Kart Classes
By: Jim Bourdon
It was a picture perfect night with improved numbers and great racing this past Wednesday…
In the Box Stock Feature, Rhylan Poole would lead the field into turn one, but Melcolm Banks would
assume the top spot by the time the field was coming off turn four. A lap two caution for Carter Bingley
would see the field bunched up for the restart, where Poole would re-assume the lead. A lap six yellow
for Brock Beattie would close the group up once more, but Poole was quick on the re-start and would go
on to take the win ahead of Tehanonsakahnion Thompson and Beattie, who would fight his way back to third.
The Rookie 1 Feature saw Callie Neddow-Lutz lead Owen Payne into turn one at the start, and that was all
that was needed. A quick race, that went caution-free saw Neddow-Lutz cross the line ahead of Payne for the win.
Savannah Parks took the lead early in the Rookie 2 Feature ahead of Brody Johnson. The fight for third was the
real battle most of the race as Adam Kouk and Burke Davis were back and forth for the position. When the checkers
flew, it was Parks for the win ahead of Johnson and eventual third place finisher, Adam Kouk.
In Jr Clones, Blake Smith would lead early. By lap four, it was Brandon Lazore’s turn at the front. With Lazore leading,
the fight was on for second and by lap 14, Daniel Skidders-Francis and Smith would come together, bringing out the
caution and setting up a one-lap shootout. Lazore would go on for the win ahead of Skidders-Francis and Smith.
Senior Clone Feature action saw Jordan Wood, lead from the green. A lap six caution for Blayden Arquette would
give the field another shot at the leader but Wood was fast, even as another yellow on lap 12 would tighten up
the field. Wood drove on for the win. Marco McCarthy would claim second ahead of Ayden Vandelight.
The Junior Restricted Feature saw Carson Jakielaszek drive a smooth race to go on to win over the ill-handling machine
of Max Petro,
In Stock Heavy Feature action, Tim Bailey would lead from the pole. Racing throughout the field was fierce, as always,
but through five cautions, Bailey was able to pace the field. He had plenty of pressure from Brad Gipson, but went
on to take the win, beating Gipson and Randy Revelle to the line.
The Dirt Demon Feature would see Jamie Graham lead from the start. Cautions for Guylain Wathier and Joe Lafleche
would give Graham chances to breathe, because for most of the race, Emily Marleau was right there, looking for
an opening. Several challenges were made, including a last turn attempt for the win, but Graham held on, beating Marleau
and Brandon Lazore to the line.
