One of the most anticipated events of the 2023 schedule is less than a month away.

For the first time since 2019, the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series will return to Brockville Ontario Speedway – Wednesday, August 2nd – for a 75-lap main event, paying $7,500 to win. The tour stop – presented by Karra’s Burgers and Fries – will also feature the DIRTcar Sportsman-Mods and NLMA Late Models.

Matt Sheppard picked-up the win in the event that was part of that season’s Northeast Fall Nationals weekend. Larry White, Mat Williamson, Billy Decker and Jack Lehner rounded-out the top 5. Ryan Arbuthnot was the top finishing Saturday night home track regular from the weekly roster at The BOS with a 6th place showing.

From the first points-paying show in July of 2006 won by Alan Johnson, this will be the 16th Big Block Modified tour stop at the popular oval on Temperance Lake Road. Pat O’Brien, Billy Decker, Brett Hearn and Danny Johnson won in 2007 through 2010. The 2011 and 2012 shows were both rained-out.

Decker picked-up another victory in 2013, with Justin Haers and Danny Johnson splitting the May and October checkered flags in 2014. Johnson also took the May date in 2015, with Carey Terrance taking the Fall Nationals win the same year. Erick Rudolph claimed a pair of wins; first in 2016 and again in 2018. Decker won in 2017.

“It’s been 4 years since we’ve had the Big Blocks on our annual schedule,” said Brockville Speedway owner/promoter Paul Kirkland. “Our fan base has been talking about this show since the first rumours of it on our 2023 line-up started appearing on the various social media sites. I’m happy to confirm that the stories were true and we’re having the Super DIRTcar Series back in less than a month.”

Make your plans now for the return of the Canadian Classic Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series – Wednesday, August 2nd – at Brockville Ontario Speedway. Gates open at 4:00, with time trials and hot laps prior to the 7:00 green flag.

Find all the information you’ll need anytime at www.brockvillespeedway.com and on the track’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram social media profiles.
