All it will take is a gentle nudge or a determined shove to get winter out of the way and launch the 2023 schedule at Brockville Ontario Speedway.
This year’s opening night at the popular oval on Temperance Lake Road is slated for Saturday, May 13th and the track’s promotional team is working hard to make sure everything is set to roll for another year. When it comes to almost every dirt track racing division you crave, The BOS will feed your need for speed.
“Sportsman-Modifieds, Small Block Mods and this year’s Wednesday, August 2nd return of the Big Block Super DIRTcar Series are just the beginning,” said Brockville Speedway owner/promoter Paul Kirkland. “For 2023, we’ll also have 4 different Sprint Car groups, including our home track Trailer Pros 602 Crate Sprinters. Fans will also see 7 shows for the PM Promotions Dirt Pro Stocks, with our regular Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Novice Sportsman and a handful of regular season dates for the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club.”
Kirkland pointed-out the track’s full schedule – including events for the Ogilvie’s Auto & Fleet Triple Crown Series – is available on the website. Details are also coming together for the Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th running of the Dirt Outlaw Apparel/King Edward Auto Parts Northeast Fall Nationals.
“We’re still about a couple of months away from the year’s first green flag, but the 2023 news hasn’t stopped,” explained Paul Kirkland. “We’ve added the Northeast Late Model Alliance Series to the August 2nd Big Block show. Track officials recently announced that prestige sponsor Karra’s Burgers and Fries, 329 Stewart Boulevard at the corner of Stewart and Parkdale will be the official sponsor of the event. For dine-in or take out Karra’s offers homemade comfort food at affordable prices.”
The entire Brockville Speedway family offers congratulations to multi-time track champion Danny O’Brien on news of his upcoming induction to the DIRTcar Northeast Hall of Fame. Track officials recently announced that O’Brien will be running a limited schedule during the 2023 season in equipment fielded and backed by local car owner Steve Polite…Track officials have also confirmed details for a 4-race Eastern Ontario Mini Stock Showdown, with events shared between Brockville and Cornwall Motor Speedway. There is a $500.00 point fund payout for the series champion…Brockville Ontario Speedway racers, fans, staff and officials join the provincial motorsports community in celebrating the life and times of Brian Mulligan following the passing of the long-time Cornwall Speedway announcer and track official.
