Excitement is building as the clock ticks-down toward the 2023 season opener at Brockville Ontario Speedway.
Staff from the track’s promotional team is working hard behind the scenes to put the finishing touches on this year’s line-up. With changes across the board – including Trailer Pros Canada branding for the 602 Crate Sprint Car division and the long-awaited Wednesday, August 2nd return of the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series – there hasn’t been much time to rest. Track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland says it seems like there has been big news to share every day.
“We’ve had a lot going on since the end of last season and everyone has been busy putting it all together,” Paul Kirkland explained. “The puzzle pieces are all falling into place and we’re looking forward to launching the new season Saturday, May 13th.”
Brockville Ontario Speedway’s crew is working out the final calendar details that will see the 2023 Action Sprint Tour Eastern Series schedule – presented by Surprenant Truck Shop – take the green flag during this year’s first night of racing. Regional events are also slated for Saturday, June 3rd, July 15th and August 5th. AST National Series shows are booked for Saturday, July 22nd and Saturday, August 19th at the popular clay oval on Temperance Lake Road.
Officials are also making the final arrangements for this year’s edition of the Ogilvie’s Auto & Fleet Triple Crown Series. A pair of extra-distance events for the DIRTcar Sportsman-Modified and Small Block divisions Saturday, May 27th and July 1st will highlight the regular season, with the championship finale scheduled for the 2023 running of the Dirt Outlaw Apparel/King Edward Auto Parts Northeast Fall Nationals.
“We’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback from our fans, drivers and race teams. With the return of the Big Blocks, ESS Sprint Cars and the addition of the PM Promotions DIRTcar Pro Stock division for 7 events, its no wonder why,” said Paul Kirkland. “Even with the snow on the ground, everyone is excited to get a new year of racing underway.”
