MASON BARKLEY CAPS OFF GREAT NIGHT WITH EXCITING WIN!
The weather was great and the racing was hot on this night…
Up first, Box Stock rolled off and Brock Beattie took off to an early lead. He would continue on until the caution came out on lap
six for Nathan Kouk. The field would be bunched up for the restart, but Beattie was the class of the field this night and would go
on to take the win ahead of Rhylan Poole and Melcolm Banks.
The Rookie 1 feature was up next and Avery Raabe would take the initial lead, as Callie Neddow-Lutz would lose power, causing a complete restart. Raabe would again lead on the start as the second caution came out for incidents at both ends of the track. As the green came back
out, Raabe would lose the lead to Owen Payne. Neddow-Lutz’s problems would continue a lap later and put an end to her night. Payne would go on to take the checkers ahead of Raabe with Neddow-Lutz completing the field.
In Rookie 2 action, Brody Johnson would lead early and seemed poised to drive away from the field, until a lap five incident off turn two would send him spinning and bring out the caution. This would hand the lead over to Carson Jakielaszek, who would lead until lap eight, when Savannah Parks would challenge for the lead going into turn one. Parks would spin and bring out the yellow. Jakielaszek would lead on the restart, but Johnson, was now up to the second position and by lap nine had completed the come from behind to take over the top spot.
He would go on to win ahead of Jakielaszek and Parks.
Blake Smith ans Ayden Vandeligt would lead the Jr Clone division to green and continue side by side through turns one and two. As the made it to turn three, Vandeligt cleared Smith and took the lead. A lap four caution for Daniel Skidders-Francis, would slow the pace once, but Vandeligt was handling better than Smith and was able to drive away with the win. Smith would cross the line second ahead of Skidders-Francis.
Sr Clones would see Eric Dinelle, take the initial lead ahead of Tim Bailey. Two laps later, Bailey would charge to the lead and Dinelle would spin
trying to cut to the inside bringing out the caution. When the green came back out, Bailey would once again lead with pressure from Dinelle
once again. A lap seven spin by Dinelle would once again see the yellow wave. Bailey would lead from the restart and go on to win ahead of
Without doubt the race of the night was Stock Heavy. Ryan Lambert would start from the pole with Mason Barkley along side. They would go side by side from the drop of the green until turn three when Barkley would charge to the lead from the outside. The caution would fly on lap one and Barkley would see challenges from Lambert as the green came back out and then Tim Bailey, would work into the runner up spot. Bailey would challenge for the lead going into turn one, but would wind up turned around and having to restart from the rear after the caution. Barkley would continue to lead with plenty of pressure from behind. On Lap 18 the caution would fly again and Barkley would once again have pressure. Zach Renaud and Brad Gipson were both racing hard for second position and would take each other out in turn one. The caution would fly once more. More pressure on the restart for Barkley, but he continued on in the top spot. A lap 19 caution for Renaud would set up a one lap shoot out. This night was all about Barkley. On the restart Randy Revelle and Tim Bailey would both do what they could but Barkley went on to take the popular win ahead of Bailey and Revelle.
