Local DIRTcar 358 and Sportsman-Modified teams will get their chance to shine Saturday, June 11th as Brockville Ontario Speedway presents the first of this year’s Ogilvie’s Auto and Fleet Triple Crown Series. The hometown challenge puts the best of The BOS together in a unique format of extra distance main events that doesn’t get settled until Friday, October 14th at the annual running of the Dirt Outlaw Apparel Fall Nationals.

In 2021, Ryan Arbuthnot captured the Small Block Modified Ogilvie’s crown, while Jessica Power claimed the Sportsman honours. Both racers have enjoyed a strong start to this year’s campaign, starting with opening night victories in their respective feature events. Arbuthnot scored a runner-up finish in the rescheduled Fall Nationals’ finale with Power entering the record books as the first female driver to capture a Fall Nationals win in the 13 year history of the event with her Sportsman-Modified checkered flag.

“With the strength that exists in the driver line-up for both divisions, this could honestly be anyone’s race to win,” explained Brockville Speedway track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland. “We’ve experienced quality and quantity during the 2022 schedule and the first event of the Ogilvie’s Auto and Fleet Triple Crown Series should see the cream rise to the top to earn the bragging rights that go along with this prestigious title.”

Small Block Modified teams will run a 50 lap main event, with Sportsman drivers having 40 laps to settle the score during the Saturday, June 11th tilt at the popular raceway on Temperance Lake Road. Also on the bill will be the Novice Sportsman and Street Stock divisions. As always, racing will start at 7:00.

Coming up Saturday, June 18th Polite’s Sand & Gravel presents a full show with the DIRTcar 358 and Sportsman-Modifieds, Novice Sportsman, Surprenant Truck Shop Mini Stocks, 1000 Islands RV Crate Sprint Cars and Vintage Modifieds.
